Employer Value
Proposition (EVP) Articulation

A strong employer brand starts with a solid foundation: a well-defined Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that reflects your unique culture and values.

What’s an EVP?

An Employer Value Proposition, or EVP, is the give-and-get promise between an employer and an employee. It defines what the employer commits to providing in exchange for the effort, energy, and expertise the employee brings to the organization. This promise goes beyond standard perks and benefits, serving as the foundation of your employer brand and answering the question, “What’s in it for me?”

EVP Articulation

Your organization already has an EVP, though it may not yet be formally defined through research. Your employees are already experiencing and shaping the culture every day. Our role is to help transform that experience into a clearly articulated, living foundation for your company’s culture through EVP Articulation.

We use a combination of quantitative and qualitative research to capture a transparent and truthful reflection of your company’s culture. Through methods like focus groups, leadership and executive interviews, employee surveys, and materials analysis, we gather data that allows us to build an employer brand grounded in reality.

This approach ensures that your EVP authentically represents what it’s like to work at your organization, without overselling or creating a false narrative, resonating with both candidates and employees alike.

What’s the Difference Between an EVP and an Employer Brand?

Good question. Your employer value proposition, or EVP, is the foundation of your employer brand. It’s your value proposition, the unique values, benefits, and offerings that differentiate you from any other employer.

Your employer brand, then, is the rest of the house. It’s the creative expression of your EVP, the visual identity that will shape how your organization is perceived and experienced by potential candidates and employees.

Together, they tell the story of your culture.
