Associate Director of Social Media

We are looking for an Associate Director of Social Media to join our fast-growing team. As Associate Director of Social Media, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of projects – from new business to ensuring stellar service to our current social client roster. Experience in content and communications, primarily in the digital space, as well as the ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders and clients with minimal supervision will be critical components to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, supervise, develop, motivate the social media team
  • Play a major role in new business development, creating the presentations, as well as presenting on site and via phone
  • Identify opportunities for organic and new business growth, addressing client needs and understanding agency capabilities
  • Address client or team issues professionally and effectively
  • Serve as internal knowledge expert on the power of social and how to best communicate the discipline, as well as Shaker's approach
  • Lead the strategy development for client programs, as well as oversee implementation
  • Draft proposals and staffing plans

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of digital landscape, including existing and emerging social media platforms
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, trends analytics and reporting
  • Passion for developing and serving the needs of team members, prioritizing mentorship and career growth
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both for internal purposes, as well as client development and agency growth
  • Thrive in fast-pace environment
  • 5+ years of experience in the digital, content, and social media space
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, social media platforms, such as Sprout Social
  • Strong knowledge of paid social, SEO and SEM are preferred
  • Strong organization skills and experience managing multiple projects
  • Practice managing, communicating, and building relationships with external clients
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills
  • Experience in recruitment is a plus but not required
