Reporting to the VP Global Employer Brand Diversity & Culture, in this new role, the Sr. Manager, Diversity & Culture will help build Shaker’s DEI infrastructure across the areas of Representation, Authenticity, and Development. You’ll lead a team whose mission is to address culture gaps, improve lived experiences, and increase cultural competency across the organization. Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and leading Shaker’s company-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, and ensuring visibility to our strategy across the organization.
  • Partnering with the VP of Talent to ensure that DEI best practices are utilized to help attract diverse groups of talent.
  • Assisting with the annual Diversity & Culture operating budget preparation, ongoing monitoring of expenses, and vendor management.
  • Serve as a DEI point of expertise or partner for Shaker-wide initiatives including: Diversity recruitment (Partners with VP of Talent); Cultural intelligence curriculum; Employee Resource Group (ERG) development; Ongoing DEI training for internal employees; Support broader talent development initiatives to ensure DEI best practices are followed; DEI content for internal/external channels
  • Maintaining a strong awareness of diversity issues and trends; educating others across the organization.
  • Serve as the lead for our DEI taskforce and brings diverse cross-functional stakeholders together to advance the broader DEI agenda across various functions of the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Related work experience may be substituted year-for-year for academic achievement.
  • At least five (5) years of general HR experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience developing and/or facilitating the development of diversity & inclusion programs
  • Experience building DEI practices from the ground up and embedding DEI into organizational culture
  • Experience in a leadership role with direct management of team member performance
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders
  • A track record of helping people become comfortable in discomfort
  • Agility in managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Has a passion for process while also anticipating future needs and creating new ways of working when necessary
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Ability to engage at the executive level of the organization interfacing with key leaders across and up the chain
  • Superb project management skills, successful execution through collaboration, and proven results within a matrixed organization
  • Experience building positive relationships with partners, diversity-based organizations, and academic institutions
