Tony has been conceiving, building, and executing recruiting strategies at Shaker since 1996. He has held leadership positions in both Client Services and Creative, serving as Account Manager and Team Lead, Brand Strategist and Project Manager. His deep understanding of the recruiting space, its media, and the power of compelling creative has produced competitive advantage for numerous organizations, domestically and internationally.
As Director of Brand Strategy, Tony works with client Recruiting and Marketing leadership to ensure that together, brand strategy and employer brand strategy elevate and advance the business strategy. He is directly responsible for EVP identification and articulation, competitive positioning, communications alignment, and creative differentiation in a saturated marketplace. Tony believes brand is relational―built on trust and emotional connection―and he works closely with account management to bring client brands alive through well calculated media choices.
In outside interests, Tony is passionate about global and domestic Christian mission. He has traveled to “The Zone” in Belarus (Chernobyl), led a team into the Garbage City of a major Middle Eastern city, and ministered to inmates at Stateville Correctional Center in Peoria, Illinois. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago. He is an ardent animal lover, will read anything by a 19th century Russian author, and enjoys playing most any kind of sport.
